The structured toe box provides additional support around the foot, helping dancers feel secure while working through pointe. The construction is designed to assist with proper alignment, support the dancer in finding center, and help prevent unwanted twisting of the shank.  The insole is fully glued and tacked to the outersole for maximum support.
